WE HAVE A CHOICE; CHOOSE WISELY...

My first post!! Wow! Well let me start this off by saying I am NOT a professional writer, you may see some grammatical errors and I am sorry. LOL. If you would like to edit this blog for me PLEASE let me know. Now that that's out the way.... Lets talk about the 1st thing that forced me to deal with me weight. Diabetes.

The picture you are looking at came from my home. I remember a time when I said I can't eat healthy, I can't exercise, I can't stop eating junk food, I can't control those cravings. Well I made my choice and the result to those choices left me injecting my body with insulin. Everyday I had to stab one of those needles into my now faded belly fat.

I was FORCED to stop eating junk food, FORCED to exercise and deal with those cravings; when I didn't I would have diabetic seizures on top of the seizures I already struggled with as an Epileptic. To make matters worse I was hit with the reality that my daughter was headed in the same direction. No matter what we choose to do it will require work. It is hard work losing weight and learning to live healthier. At the same time It is not easy being obese and watching your kids follow in your unhealthy foot steps. You deal with judgment from everyone. Many look at you and think you are lazy, they think you stink, you lose job opportunities because of how you look. This has been known to send many adults into depression and even suicide. How do you think this effects our kids? Kids are worse than adults with judgment; We must lead by example. I am happy to say today that my entire family is healthier and none of us are taking insulin.

This is why we created Mr. & Mrs. Fitness Center; We are striving to win the war with obesity in adults and children. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we donate items needed to help others that are surviving obesity get started. To learn more about those items please click the website below. Parents hold the key to teaching their kids about living a healthy lifestyle. Doing it together makes everyone a part of it.
